- Sold! A yet-to-be-identified bidder has paid $28 million to fly into space alongside Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his brother, Mark.
- It only took ten minutes for a seat on Bezo's Blue Origin spaceship to go from an original $4.8 million bid to a nearly $30 million one. Around 7,600 people placed a bid during the auction, according to Amazon.
- That means the ten to fifteen-minute flight will cost someone around $2 million per minute when Blue Origin shoots for the heavens on July 20th.
- The auction's proceeds will benefit Club for The Future, Blue Origin's STEM education nonprofit.
