The World’s Tallest Single-Rail Coaster Opens at Six Flags in New Jersey

  • New Jersey's Six Flags Great Adventure opened a coaster meant for daredevils over the weekend.
  • Coaster enthusiasts took the first spin on the Jersey Devil, a 13-story, 3,000-foot track single rail rollercoaster, which is now the tallest single-rail coaster in the world.
  • Yup, as a single coaster, you won't be able to grip the hand of someone beside you. Each trip on the Jersey Devil fits 12 people, taking them up 130 feet before dropping them at an 87-degree angle with speeds up to 60 mph.
  • The rollercoaster also offers "three dramatic inversions including a 180-degree stall, raven dive and zero-gravity roll."
