- A pilot made an emergency landing in Tisdale, Saskatchewan July 31st, landing in an empty lot near a Dairy Queen.
- His emergency? He wanted to buy a DQ ice cream cake.
- At first, residents of the small town of 3,000, including its mayor, Al Jellicoe, thought it was one of its province's air ambulances since it shared the same red paint job.
- ...That's until the Jellicoe witnessed a woman exit the helicopter and head inside DQ. The mayor said "Well, I thought somebody must be hungry,"
- An investigation concluded the pilot's landing wasn't an "emergency".
- The landing's been good for DQ business, though; people are picking up ice cream cakes to see if they're worth it.
