- A new Consumer Reports survey asked car owners at the end of 2020 about their vehicle's reliability, looking at 17 different factors.
- The survey didn't pay many compliments to the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, which owners called the most unreliable vehicle in the US. The Silverado scored only a 13 out of 100! Engine and AC problems, plus complaints about its manufacturing gave it a dismal score.
- Other unreliable cars included:
- The Subaru Ascent - which scored an 18 out of 100 reliability score for constant hood shakes and an engine light that always seems to stay on.
- The Volkswagen Atlas - with a 19 out of 100 score. One person wrote, "8 months in and I'm ready to get as far away from this car as I can!"
- The Jeep Compass - Not only did it score only a 21 out of 100 in reliability, butU.S. News and World Reportsalso says it's one of lowest-rated compact SUVs on its website.
