  • One man cracked the system to eat at Six Flags for $150 a year.
  • MEL magazine interviewed the guy named Dylan. He's a 33-year-old electrical engineer.
  • Dylan said that he used the Six Flags season pass that included free parking, admission to Magic Mountain in Southern California, and two meals per visit to save money. He bought the pass in 2014 for $150 and kept renewing it until 2020.
  • Since the park is open year-round, he could go every day.
  • In that time, Dylan saved enough money to pay off his student loans, buy a house and get married.
  • If you break it down, Dylan ate an estimated 2,000 meals at the park over six years. That breaks down to 50 cents a meal.
  • How was the food? Dylan said that he started out with pizza and hamburgers but eventually threw in carne asada salads and vegan options.
  • He won't forget the chicken balls! Dylan commented, “I got so sick of those chicken balls. I’d estimate I got them around 150 times, and at five per meal, that’s around 750 balls. I don’t know that I could ever eat them again.”
