- Captain America's Chris Evans voices Lightyear during his early days as a Space Ranger in Star Command.
- Disney said the film is "the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear — the hero who inspired the toy...and who would win generations of fans."
- Buzz Lightyear was originally voiced by Tim Allen in the Toy Story franchise. A TV series based on Lightyear was voiced bySeinfeld actor Patrick Warburton.
