- Jimmy Kimmel singed his hairline and lost some eyebrows on Thanksgiving after his pizza oven "blasted a fireball" into his face on Thanksgiving.
- Kimmel explained "I was lighting my pizza oven -- and I wish I could say this is the first time I've done this, but... I turn on the gas, and I flip the switch, and usually, it lights up itself. I don't know, 40 minutes go by and the oven is not lit. So I look in there and I'm like, 'Huh.'"
- That's when Kimmel thought it would be a great idea to toss a burning piece of paper into the now-gas-filled oven, which resulted in fire blasting his face.
- Sharing a pic of his charred hairline and burned body hairs, Kimmel said "You'd think I'd learn, but I haven't...It's a good thing I was wearing a hat or I'd be bald tonight."
