Well this is wild. Two Hippos at an Antwerp Begium zoo have both tested positive for Covid-19. One of the animals is 41years old and the other is 14. None of the zookeepers have tested positive, so nobody is sure exactly how the pair would have contracted the virus. They were both showing symptoms of a runny nose so they were subsequently tested. According to a press release, Imani and Hemien are showing no other symptoms at this time. They are both now in isolation and are not being viewed by the public. They are the first known contamination in a species of this type.
