- Uber Eats is now the first delivery service to send food to space, sending canned goods to the International Space Station.
- The company teamed up with Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, who after 8 hours and 34 minutes, hand-delivered the food to the astronauts on December 11th.
- 248 miles later, the billionaire gave the ISS crew mackerel in miso, beef bowls, simmered chicken and braised pork.
- Uber Eats wrote "We're over the moon to have helped make our first successful delivery to space. We're proud to serve the astronauts at the International Space Station...even though it took a bit longer than the usual 30 minutes to arrive."
