Folks Are Petitioning Coca-Cola To BRING BACK Tab

  • After discontinuing the soda in 2020, fans of the diet soda Tab are petitioning Coca-Cola to bring it back to the market.
  • Coca-Cola had been producing Tab since 1963 with the soda peaking in sales during the '70s and '80s. Coca-Cola's bosses said without Tab "we wouldn't have Diet Coke or Coke Zero Sugar" but added that Tab "did its job" and it was time to move on.
  • Now, CNN says there's a group of petitioners called the Save Tab Committee who create "coordinated call days" to flood Coca-Cola's phone lines with Tab requests. They've also created a letter campaign and have raised $1,700 in their quest to raise #SaveTab billboards around Coke's headquarters in Atlanta.
  • The committee also has a Change.org petition which has around 2,000 signatures.
