Pete Davidson to Play Fictional Version of Pete Davidson in New Comedy

  • Pete Davidson is getting ready to take on the role of a lifetime as "Pete Davidson."
  • As of late, SNL creator and producer Lorne Michaels is more relaxed about the cast exploring outside projects. Pete Davidson is currently enjoying an approved hiatus as he films the upcoming Miramax thriller The Home.
  • According to a report from Deadline, Pete will be starring in a new series based on his life, with SNL boss Lorne Michaels as exec producer. Pete will also co-write the new series, alongside long-time collaborator David Sirus and Judah Miller.
  • Tentatively titled Bupkis, the project is already being compared to Larry David's long-running Curb Your Enthusiasm. Like David's Curb, this show "is expected to reflect Davidson’s real-life persona with an unapologetically unfiltered, R-rated storytelling.”
  • Pete's real-life has become as well known as his work on the show, from the famous women he dates to his tattoos and everything in between so fans no doubt will watch this!
  • Talks are said to be underway with “A-list talent” for the other roles in the ensemble cast. Bupkis is currently being pitched to various streaming services, with Peacock and Prime Video “believed to be among those interested.”
