- Weird Al Yankovic says he wrote and recorded several songs for an animated Star Wars series that never happened.
- Star Wars: Detours was created by Robot Chicken creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich in 2009, going over the top to explain what happened between the franchise's prequel and original trilogies.
- Yankovic explained "We were working on a Star Wars musical. We were writing songs, and all of a sudden, it was like, 'This is not gonna happen.' There were at least half a dozen or more songs as part of the musical and the various characters in the show. We actually recorded them singing their songs, and that was about a week before we found out that the show was not happening."
- As soon as Disney bought Lucas film in 2012, the project was unfortunately canceled.
