- Pink Floyd, one of two flamingos that escaped a Kansas zoo 17 years ago, has been spotted in Texas!
- Texas Parks and Wildlife shared a video of the flamingo, writing "Looks like Pink Floyd has returned from the 'dark side the of the moon'!"
- Pink Floyd also goes by Flamingo no. 492 and was one of 40 flamingos imported from Tanzania to a Witchita, Kansas zoo back in 2003. The staffers forgot to clip Pink's feathers to prevent him from flying, so one day in 2005, the flamingo "flew the coop" with a companion named Flamingo no. 347. The two were last spotted together in 2005.
- Pink Floyd isn't a loner, though, making friends with a Caribbean flamingo. They're spotted together from time to time.
