Asteroid 4X the Size of the Empire State Building Headed Toward Earth

  • We've got another asteroid zinging by us; this time it's an asteroid four times the size of the Empire State building.
  • Asteroid 7335 will make its close call this Friday, May 27th, missing us by about 2.5 million miles when it travels at 42,000 miles per hour.
  • The enormous space rock has been classified as "potentially hazardous", meaning if this thing decides to change its orbit and head towards us then Earth is in trouble.
  • Wish this asteroid, 1.1 mile in diameter, good riddance on Friday; it won't make another pass near us until 2055.
