- NASCAR is hosting a street race in Chicago on July 2nd, 2023.
- The 2.2-mile race in and around Grant Park will mark the first time the NASCAR Cup Series will compete on the streets of a major American city.
- Turns 4 and 5 of the 12-turn course will run near Soldier Field.
- The city's Mayor Lightfoot said "Chicago’s streets are as iconic as our skyline and our reputation as a world-class sports city is indisputable. I am thrilled to welcome our partners at NASCAR to Chicago for an event that will attract thousands of people to our city."
