Fans of the movie have been waiting for this a LONG time...Twister will apparently be getting a sequel. Bill Paxton, who played the lead in the original movie, died in 2017 but he did discuss a possible sequel before he passed. He mentioned saying that it would be a bit darker and maybe even more suspenseful. Deadline is reporting Twisters is the name of the new movie and there's already a script from Mark L. Smith who directed Revenant. Rumors also have it that Steven Spielberg loves the script and wants to produce it through his company Amblin. Awesome!!
