This would be a record breaking deal of amazing proportions if it happens. According to sources, Michael Jackson's estate is on the verge of selling Michael's catalog for between $800 and $900 million. Variety reports Sony Music and another financial partner are set to purchase 50 percent of the estate’s interests in MJ's publishing, the "MJ: The Musical" Broadway show, and other assets. If this actually happens, the sale would be the biggest music catalog purchase in history.
