Giant Toxic Seaweed "Blob" Expected to Hit U.S.

Spring Breakers beware! There's a large seaweed bloom so big in the Atlantic Ocean making it's way to Florida along the Gulf of Mexico that it can be seen from space. The seaweed, sargassum, is toxic, releasing hydrogen sulfide gas into the air, which can often cause respiratory issues for beachgoers and nearby residents. A 2018 bloom in the Caribbean sent thousands to the hospital. They can clean the beaches of the seaweed in the morning but the bloom is just so big it will make it's way back to the sand within hours. A scientist at Florida Atlantic University told 'NBC News' "What we're seeing in the satellite imagery does not bode well for a clean beach year."  Take a look....
