Some fans in the UK are gong crazy after a picture of a square Dorito has been posted instead of the usual triangle-shaped chip. It was also posted with the caption "The shape of things to come". Some of the comments from fans say things like, "A Dorito without a triangle shape is NO Dorito at all" and "Boooooo." A conspiracy theory even started with some claiming Doritos is making a possible shape change to cover up the fact that the chip bag is now 30 grams smaller. Doritos responded by saying, "The news isn’t ready to be shared quite yet, but great to know how much interest there is in the shape of our chips. As you’ve now seen, square Doritos are something we’re exploring and we’ll reveal more officially later this month."
