Sheriff's Deputy Mark Watson is being called a hero for his actions recently while on the job.
Watson was responding to a drunk-driving call when he found an elderly man sitting in his car who wasn't at all intoxicated. The man, 84-year-old Lyle Wise, decided to go shopping the previous night. Lyle has early signs of dementia. He was going out to get some last minute Christmas gifts but ended up becoming completely lost and couldn't remember much.
Mark, determined to help, searched the car and found two things: a home address and a stack of business cards. He took a closer look at the words printed on the cards and he couldn't believe his eyes.
Once he figured out the elderly man's true identity, his mission completely changed.
