Illinois Passes "Obama Day" Bill

"Obama Day" will become an Illinois state holiday after a Governor Bruce Rauner signs the bill passed in the state house last Friday.

It makes August 4th, President Obama's birthday, an honorary holiday.

Unfortunately, you won't have the day off, as Gov. Rauner opposed that portion of the measure, saying it would cost too much to close offices since the state is in difficult financial constraints.
