Two Chicago Corpse Flowers Are Ready to Bloom and Will Cause Terrible Smell!

UPDATE 5/31: "Java" bloomed Wednesday 5/31. Now we're just waiting for Sumatra to bloom!


Two corpse flowers known as the "Titan Twins" named Java and Sumatra at the Chicago Botanic Garden are reportedly preparing to bloom!

Supposedly when it happens, the flowers will emit a smell combination of "limburger cheese, garlic, rotting fish and smelly feet."

The blooming of a corpse flowers is rare and only happens every seven to 10 years. So expect many people to show up to watch it happen...even if the stench is horrendous!
