Schools in Illinois and US Are Banning Backpacks After Shooting

Some schools across the U.S. have banned students from carrying backpacks due to safety concerns following the Florida high school shooting earlier this month according to the Miami Herald.

In southern Illinois, WPSD-TV reported Marion High School banned backpacks entirely at first. But, starting next week, students will be able to keep clear and mesh backpacks in their lockers.

Niles McKinley High School in Ohio and Manatee County in Florida have also banned backpacks for middle and high school students.

What do you think about this? Is this a logical solution?
