A new study was just released ranking the best large cities to live in the U.S. in 2018.
While we all love Chicago, it didn't do as well as I'd hope...not awful, but also not near the top.
WalletHub ranked Chicago 26 out of 62 total, which was determined by several factors (home ownership rates, housing affordability, income growth, and education levels).
Chicago ranked pretty low on affordability, economy and headlth/education BUT was top 10 for quality of life and safety (which is pretty good).
As for the top 5 nationwide:
#1: Seattle
#2: Virginia Beach
#3: Austin
#4: San Francisco
#5: San Diego
