The first Amazon Go store has opened up in Chicago!
Amazon’s cashierless stores are designed to pick up what you need and quickly leave the store as they are cashless.
The 2,000-square-foot Chicago store is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays at 113 S. Franklin Street.
Customers scan an app on their smartphone on the way in. Cameras and sensors track shoppers as they add items to a virtual cart as customers take them off shelves.
Amazon charges customers when they leave. A sign on the wall calls it “just walk out shopping.”
What do you think? Will you ever shop in the store if one opens near you or do you like the idea of a cashier?
