The National Weather Service is warning that parts of the Chicago area could see the first frost of the season this weekend.
The Frost Advisory includes McHenry, DeKalb and Kane counties. The advisory takes effect at 3 a.m. Saturday and will continue until 8 a.m. and warns of temperature lows in the low- to mid-30s.
“Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered,” the alert warned. Temperatures are set to return to the upper-70s and low-80s next week (thankfully).
