On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a study which found that 38 percent of children between the ages of 3 and 6 are using too much toothpaste.
For kids under 3, parents should only squeeze a the equivalent of a grain of rice onto the brush, and slightly increase the amount as kids get older.
If kids use too much toothpaste, The New York Times reports that they're more liable to devekio dental fluorosis, which can lead to white lines or streaks on teeth.
