Amtrak is ending its Hoosier State passenger line between Indianapolis and Chicago with the loss of funding in Indiana's new state budget.
The four days a week line will not run after June 30th. Lawmakers says the subsidy to keep the train going was too high and ridership participation was too low.
The Cardinal line will continue running between Chicago and Indianapolis three days per week.
So if you plan to visit Indy from Chicago, you might want to make the trip ASAP!
