"Downton Abbey" Castle Listed on AirBnB

Want to live like the Dowager Countess? Two lucky guests will get to do just that on November 26 when the castle seen on Downton Abbey is listed on AirBnB for one night only. The Guardian reports that the real-life Earl and Countess of Carnarvon have listed Highclere Castle on the booking site in honor of the Downton Abbey feature film, which debuts in theaters this coming Friday.

"For one night only, you can sleep in one of the Castle’s iconic bedrooms and get the opportunity to live like the Lord or Lady of a stately home," the listing reads. "For the first time, two guests are cordially invited to immerse themselves in life at Highclere Castle and will be treated like royalty during their stay."

USA Today adds that guests will join the Carnarvons for evening cocktails upon arrival, followed by a three-course dinner in the State Dining Room where they'll be waited on by Highclere Castle's butler, Luis.

Reservations for this once-in-a-lifetime experience open on October 1; applicants must have good reviews from previous AirBnB bookings and most illustrate that they're “passionate about Downton Abbey." The most creative submission will be chosen for the stay, which will cost roughly $186.
