Chicago stations are changing their broadcast frequency Friday and if you watch TV with an antenna (AKA rabbit ears), you'll need to re-scan all the channels with your TV.
According to the FCC, it's the same scan that you did to find your local channels when you set up your TV or converter box the very first time. Subscribers to cable or satellite TV do not need to worry about it as the provider will take care of it on their end.
Here are the stations that you'll need to re-scan:
- NBC 5
- ABC 7
- PBS 11
- WCIU 26
- FOX 32
- Ion 38
- Telemundo 44
- UniMas 60
- Univision 66
