Black Lab Sworn in at Illinois State's Attorney's Office in Chicago

Earlier this week, the Illinois State's Attorney's Office in Chicago swore in its newest employee: a black Labrador retriever named Hatty.

The AP reports that the 2-year-old canine, who was partially trained by inmates, will work a 9-to-5 schedule as an emotional-support dog for young children and people with mental-health issues who've been victims of assault, and will handle up to 200 cases annually.

During her swearing-in, she stood on her hind legs on a table and placed her paw across a law book as her oath was administered.
