If you're a bartender in Connecticut, you may want to brush up on your Shirley Temple-making skills in case 6-year-old Leo Kelly stops by.
He's going viral thanks to his "@TheShirleyTempleKing" Instagram account, where he posts reviews of local restaurants' Shirley Temples. He has quite the opinion about the proper levels of bubbles, grenadine and cherries and then grades them on a scale of 1 to 10.
Leo's follower count has shot up from about 300 to a whopping 120,000-plus. Kelly recently said about the Shirley Temple at Longhorn Steakhouse, "This is the biggest Shirley Temple I’ve ever seen in my life. So, that’s good news. The bad news is to say, there are no cherries."
As for the Shirley Temple at a nearby Friendly's, Kelly says, “It doesn’t even taste like a Shirley Temple; it tastes like cherry-flavored ginger ale." (Ouch!) Kelly said in a new video this week that his increased follower count "is just mind-blowing" and added, "Thank you to all my followers, and especially you, Shirley!"
