Should you rush to the hospital if you think you have coronavirus?
Absolutely not, Dr. Mark Morocco of UCLA Medical Center tells The Los Angeles Times. His hospital, like many others nationwide, is "seeing way too many people showing up, saying they want testing and need treatment that doesn't exist."
He says he understands people's anxiety, because coronavirus can feel a lot like the flu, but says you should only visit a hospital "if you’re unable to get out of the Barcalounger and walk three steps to the bathroom" or "if you can't think clearly and can't breathe and speak normally."
Otherwise, you're better off setting up a "sick room" at home and ingesting lots of fluids--even if you do have the virus.
