Early this month in New York, Take Yanira Soriano was so sickened by coronavirus that doctors put her in a medically induced coma in order to hook her up to a ventilator so she could breathe.
Soriano was also 34 weeks pregnant, so her newborn son, Walter, had to be delivered via emergency C-section while she was unconscious. Walter was transferred to another hospital while his mom made a miraculous recovery.
On April 15, she was discharged and finally able to meet Walter for the first time--a moment that was captured on video and melted the internet's heart after CNN anchor Jake Tapper shared it on Twitter.
