Queen and singer Adam Lambert want the healthcare heroes of the coronavirus crisis to know: “You Are the Champions.”
The AP reports that they've released a newly titled version of their 1977 classic, “We Are the Champions," that was recorded from Brian May, Roger Taylor and Lambert's respective homes.
Proceeds from the recording will be donated to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. “You know, we don’t really need to make money anymore. We don’t need to be any more famous. We need to use what we have in the best possible way," say May. “I thought, this is a great way to use the legacy that we have to do some good in the world."
An accompanying music video features caregivers and frontline workers from around the world--including Taylor's daughter, Rory Eleanor Taylor, who works as a doctor in a London hospital.
