Wendy's has announced it's experiencing a burger shortage.
"Some of our menu items may be in short supply from time to time at some restaurants in this current environment,'' Wendy's said in a statement. "We expect this to be temporary, and we're working diligently to minimize the impact to our customers and restaurants."
CNN reports that about 1,000 of Wendy's 5,500 locations in the U.S. is currently out of beef, representing one of out every five stores.

On Monday, a Wendy's customer tweeted a pic of a handwritten sign on a drive-through window that reads in part, "We are currently experiencing issues with our meat processing supplier and are unable to serve beef products." The Twitter user also joked in the caption, "@Wendys, is this the part where I say...'Where’s the beef?' #TooSoon."
