Hack to Get Rid of YouTube Pre-Roll Advertisements

Tired of sitting through annoying YouTube ads before you get to watch what you want?

Lifehacker just revealed an unbelievably easy way to get rid of them. To block ads, just put a period after the YouTube domain in the URL -- right after the dot-com of the the address.

In other words, your URL should look like this: https://www.youtube.com./watch[videonumber]

Lifehacker tested this tech hack and it works, although the website warns that Google, which owns YouTube, "will surely patch" the workaround "at some point."
