Apple has announced that Oprah will return to television with a new talk show on Apple TV+.
The Oprah Conversation will debut on July 30 with the first episode featuring Winfrey and Ibram X. Kendi, author of the best-selling book How To Be an Antiracist, speaking with white people about racism, while the series at large will "explore impactful and relevant topics with fascinating thought leaders from all over the world."
The episodes will be filmed remotely due to coronavirus, but will feature some form of "audience engagement." Winfrey ended her top-rated network talk show in 2011 to pursue other ventures.
It was also announced that her Oprah Magazine will stop printing after December.
