North Park Mall in Villa Park opened in 1973 as a 340,000 square foot shopping center.
The original anchors were Robert Hall Village, Dominick's and JCPenney. Robert Hall closed and became a Kmart. Eventually, they all left the mall and the outdoor shopping center became known as North Park Plaza.
