National Greasy Food Day

That’s right there is a national greasy food day and it is today October 25th! So if you’re watching your weight for the holidays today would be a good cheat day.

Although not the healthiest, every once in a while, it is okay to enjoy some greasy food. In fact, if you wanna make the fried foods you love healthier here are some tips and tricks!

  • Limit your intake! Eat those french fries from your favorite restaurant often? Cut down the number of times you order them and they will seem even tastier and more rewarding when you do enjoy them.
  • Bake instead of fry. If you love fried chicken, baking them on a lightly oiled baking sheet covered in bread crumbs will crisp them right up and reduce the number of calories and fat they contain.
  • Air fry by using a convection oven. These handy little ovens have the ability to crisp up our favorite fried foods like bacon by using a fraction of the oil they typically require when deep frying.
