Chicago Park Hosts Truck-Or-Treat, Fall Festival And Charity Walk

Schafer Park will host three events Saturday, October 29th and you can join them! They will be having a charity walk, truck-or-treat, and fall festival with the help of the Urban Growers Collective and the New Prospect MB Church. 

It will all start at 9 a.m. Saturday at the park, 8900 S. Green Bay Ave. Hosts will lead a morning prayer at 10 a.m. before they commence an hour-long Breast Cancer Awareness walk. Followed by a dance celebration at 11:30 a.m.-noon. 

The festival will soon after beginning at 1 pm at the Urban Growers Collective’s nearby farm, 9000 S. Green Bay Ave., featuring pumpkins, face painting, apple cider, a farm stand, and free farm tours. 

To close out the day, the Schafer Park Advisory Council will host its annual Trunk-or-Treat. Participants can walk around the cars and collect candy 3-5 p.m. Those who want to hand out candy can register their car online.
