Because Tennessee residents Julie and Jimmy Johnson own three dogs, they didn't think much of it when they woke up recently to find a pooch snuggled up beside them in their bed. Until they realized it wasn't one of theirs, that is.
“It is absolutely normal to wake up in our house with one of our dogs in the bed with us," Julie Johnson writes on Facebook. "One small problem: THIS IS NOT OUR DOG." The Ocoee resident says the mysterious canine somehow found its way into her house and climbed into bed with the couple without disturbing them. "In pitch darkness, I just assumed it was one of ours," she says. "Wouldn’t we all? As daylight began to creep in through our curtains, we realized we were snuggling with someone else’s dog."
Fortunately, the real owner of the dog -- whose name is Nala -- saw Johnson's Facebook post and contacted her. She was expected to pick up Nala on Wednesday. "Good luck getting her out of my bed," Johnson says.
