An 8-year-old Ohio boy is being called a hero after he delivered his baby brother.
Peilar Matthews, who was nine months pregnant, says she was feeling some contractions when she went to bed on January 27th, but she thought they were just false alarms. "I didn't realize I was in active labor, so I just went to sleep," she says. “When I got up at 5, that’s when they started coming back to back.”
With her baby about to arrive, Matthews turned to the only other person in the house for help: her son Malone. “She was, like, pushing, and I, like, catch," Malone says. "Like, not catch the baby, but … yeah, catch the baby." Although Malone managed to deliver his brother, that's not what he's most proud of. “Because I did it and the doctors didn’t, I saved my mom some money,” he says.
