Yes, it’s back…the famous Butterball Turkey Talk-Line. They’ll talk you through just about any turkey question…or disaster…even on the holiday itself. What should you be doing to get started? The folks at Butterball remind us, if you thaw your turkey in the fridge, do it for one day for every 4 pounds of turkey. Some people thaw their turkey in water. You have to cover it with water and change it every 30 minutes. You can expect 30 minutes of thawing per pound of turkey. That sounds like it could get messy!
