Is your dog right pawed or left pawed?
90% of us are right handed…nearly 10% of us are left handed. Very few of us are considered ambidextrous. Well, a study on dogs (yes, someone actually took time and money to study this) says dogs aren’t ambidextrous either. When they need to use a paw to move an object or grab a bone, a dog will most always use the same paw. That means your dog is either right pawed or left pawed. What they also found out is that results were almost evenly split, meaning half favored their left paw, the other half their right. They determined right pawed dogs handled stress better, making them better guide dogs.
