Trying to save money? Maybe cut back on bad habits.
We all have bad habits, whether it’s biting your nails or staying up late watching shows instead of going to sleep. We know these things aren’t great for our health, but we do them anyway. And it turns out, some bad habits can really drain your bank account over time. Here’s what some of them can cost you:
- Alcohol - Most people are going out for drinks and shelling out for $20 cocktails, which can add up to anywhere from $68,000 to more than $120,000 over their lifetime.
- Gambling - the average casino patron loses more than $600 a year, while someone with a serious gambling addiction may lose as much as $90,000 every year.
- Fast Food - Most of us spend between $2,400 and $10,000 on fast food every year.
