Furry Friday featuring Carmel

Carmel came to the shelter in very rough shape. He was about 5 weeks old, very dehydrated from the heat, very thin, lethargic and flea infested. This baby needed major TLC and that is just what he got under foster care. Now he is at a very healthy weight and loves attention and to play with other cats and kittens. Unfortunately, he had developed a cyst on his right shoulder/leg. They have no idea what caused it but the cyst did break and has healed nicely. You will notice he still has fur missing in that area but it is growing back nicely. Carmel came into foster care as a very shy and quiet baby boy. Now that he is feeling better, he is outgoing and loves to play and be loved on once he gets to know you. They believe Carmel would continue to thrive with a family that would respect his space and allow him time to get to know everyone. He is socialized with other cats and kittens so he would do well with other cats in his new home. They think he would be okay with dogs as long as there was a very slow introduction. Carmel is fostered under The Humane Society of Hobart in Hobart, Indiana. Please call the shelter at (219) 942-0103 to schedule a meet and greet and fall in love.
