The COVID pandemic has affected in-person shopping and now Godiva is closing all of its chocolate stores in the United States.
128 stores will be shut down before the end of March.
A statement from Godiva said, "Our brick & mortar locations in North America have had a clear purpose since we first opened our doors in this market – to provide an in-person experience for consumers to enjoy the world's most exquisite chocolates. We have always been focused on what our consumers need and how they want to experience our brand, which is why we have made this decision."
Don't worry, Godiva is not going out of business. You'll have to find the decadent chocolate elsewhere.
At least you'll have time to scoop up some Valentine's candy.
